Step onto Main Street in Boonton, New Jersey, and step into another era. Pasquale’s Pizza has called historic Downtown Boonton home since 1989, but the story of its Main Street storefront began long before the first pizza went into the oven. Before becoming Pasquale’s, the space was home to an antique store, and pieces of that old-world charm and spirit can still be felt inside today. That history is becoming part of the Pasquale’s experience. Inspired by Boonton’s historic Main Street and the nearby Darress Theatre, which welcomed generations of moviegoers and vaudeville audiences, Pasquale’s embraces the warmth, character and atmosphere of a 1930s neighborhood pizzeria while preserving the personality of the building it calls home. Behind the pizza is owner Tony Biago, a pizza maker with more than 40 years of experience. Tony came to Boonton in 1989 and helped build Pasquale’s into a neighborhood institution, serving generations of families from the same Main Street community. And the pizza has earned its share of bragging rights. Over the years, Pasquale’s has taken home Boonton pizza honors for Best Crust, Best Sauce, Best Regular Sicilian, Best Grandma’s and Best Overall, helping establish the shop as a destination for pizza lovers throughout Morris County and North Jersey.
